Top Tips!

Usually, when it comes to the holidays, families and teachers will allow you to relax a little and perhaps do less learning at home. However, our school closure means you are going to have to work hard alone, and with your families to make sure your brain continues to grow!

In a world without your teachers, how can you become a genius like Albert Einstein, a champion like Lionel Messi or a war hero like Florence Nightingale and Alan Turin - two great mathematicians?

There is your first challenge: find out who the above greats are!

It is time for you to rule your own learning!

Read

What are you reading at the moment?

Make sure you read at the same time every day. This way you will not forget!

Don’t forget to share what you have read with your family, friends and your teachers! Write this down for your teachers until you can see them!

Eat and drink well

Time to become scientists and experiment:

The experts say drinking plenty of water helps to keep illnesses away and makes you feel more relaxed. Why not measure the amount of water you are drinking each day and then note how you feel in a food diary?

Could you have a piece of fruit every day? Add how you feel to your food diary.

A FUN CHALLENGE: with Easter coming up, eat some chocolate and compare how you felt 10 minutes after chocolate compared with 10 minutes after eating fruit.

Relax and reflect

Have you completed all the other five? If not, can you do more tomorrow?

  • Draw something;
  • Yoga;
  • Read;
  • Watch something interesting;
  • Play a board game;
  • Solve a jig-saw;
  • go on your console for 30 minutes (maximum and you may need to do one of the others to relax properly);
  • Lay in the garden;
  • Walk your dog.
